"The Road to the White House Starts at Western Illinois University" is a mock presidential election conducted as part of the University's academic mission, intended to promote civic education and engagement among the University's students. To get the most out of this educational process, participants are encouraged to enact their roles as completely and energetically as possible. This includes the production, dissemination, and display of partisan political materials – a presidential election is after all a partisan political process.
Western Illinois University itself neither endorses any candidate nor takes a position on any issue that may be part of the mock presidential election.
